In Morocco excitement is building and construction of a sprawling and modern new venue well underway as the 2023 World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings are set to begin in October.
IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva visited Marrakech and Rabat in June to tour the facilities and take part in cultural events unofficially launching the Meetings.
Thousands of officials, NGO’s and members of the media will be headed to Marrakech in October for the week of meetings and events for the IMF’s 190-country membership.
The members will be discussing inflation, digital currencies, climate finance and how to tackle growing public debt levels.
